Vanilla buttercream icing

I used to think this buttercream icing is the most difficult part of a cake. But to my wonders it could be made easily

INGREDIENTS

Butter - 1 cup
Sugar(powdered) - 3-4 cups
Vanilla extract - 1 tbsp.
Milk or heavy cream - up to 4 tbsp.

PROCEDURE

Beat butter with a mixer on medium speed.
Add 3 cups of powdered sugar and turn your mixer on the lowest speed so the sugar doesn't blow around.
Increase mixer speed to medium after the sugar blends well and add vanilla extract, 2 tbsp. of milk/cream and beat for 3 minutes.
If you want a stiff frosting add remaining sugar or if you need thin frosting add remaining milk 1 tbsp at a time

Note: Do not melt your butter to get the softness as it will be thinned out and results into a grainy texture.
The texture should be thick like an ice cream
